OHR Samplers

This is my favorite part of the label, so I felt it deserved its own page.

I love giving people a chance to listen to something new for free, even if they don’t have the internet. Beginning in December 2008, when Josh Tracy and I took a trip to Michigan, we began making Open Hand Records Samplers, consisting of songs from bands involved with OHR, or occasionally just friends of ours who we think are awesome. These are burned copies of iTunes playlists in colorful inexpensive sleeves from Target, Walmart, or wheverever I can find them for cheap. Sometimes they will have stickers in them, or other cool goodies, sometimes they won’t. It really just depends what I have available to me at the time.

THESE ARE 100% FREE.

I go to a lot of shows. I go to most of the various skafests around the country throughout the year. I will almost ALWAYS have these available.
And don’t worry if you miss out on getting a physical copy, because as soon as we make a new one, it goes up here for free.
